Local Networking Meeting

Save the Date! There have been several national and regional meetings that have addressed the COVID issues and this has proved to be able to bring you the most up to date guidance at this time. It is planned to restart our local networking meetings and the first one is on Tuesday 14th July at 2pm and the theme of the discussions will be around Re-opening.  More information and booking details for the event to follow.

It is planned to hold a Showcasing Angus Third Sector event in September. This has been delayed due to COVID restrictions but there is a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work in Angus. More details to follow. Bev will be leading on this event.

Rural Social Enterprise Digital Hub
This has been developed over the last few months and the website is now live and ready as a pilot. You will find it online here. This space is a focal point for connections, information, research and development activity on rural social enterprise in Scotland and further afield. The website is an online space for collaboration, peer to peer learning and knowledge exchange between all those committed to thriving rural social enterprise. It is also a space to showcase the contribution social enterprise makes to our rural communities.
As this is still the piloting phase, they need your help. There are two main ways to get involved: You can enter your Organisation into the directory and/or create an account that links up to your organisation.
The Rural SEN are planning future networking events to follow on from the event during SE Reset week – so keep a look out for these.

Angus Business Survey

It has been a challenging time for many businesses, and Angus Council want to hear from you about the impact Covid-19 has had on your business and how the council can support you as Scotland moves into recovery.

Please complete this survey here, which should take no more than 15 minutes, and tell us how your business has been affected, your key concerns, and what measures you’ve taken or will be taking to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

This valuable information will help to inform the economic recovery support Angus Council and its partners put in place to ensure we can provide what is needed now and in the future.
The survey closes on 10 July 2020.

Further advice and information for businesses impacted by COVID 19 is available on the Invest in Angus website

A new cultural strategy for Angus – can you help?

Culture Radar has been commissioned by ANGUSalive and the Angus Place Partnership to deliver the first Cultural Strategy for Angus to run 2021 – 2026.  The strategy will draw on the region’s unique strengths and assets and present an ambitious cultural vision for Angus.  This is an opportunity to think afresh about priorities for culture in Angus – how it develops its role in supporting communities, place and the economy, whilst sustaining and nurturing its organisations and practitioners.

We are keen to involve as many people, voices and groups engaged with cultural activity from across the region in this process.
This survey is one of the first tasks that we are undertaking towards creating the new Cultural Strategy, and by asking for information and your opinions we can better understand what is happening in the sector now and what you would like the future of culture in Angus to look like.
We are also undertaking a mapping exercise to collect brief information about cultural venues, events and organisations based in the Angus region.
If you work or volunteer in the Angus cultural sector, it would be great if you could complete both the survey and the mapping form.  Here are the links:

We hope to involve as many people as possible, so we would be very grateful if you could forward this email on to colleagues, at your own organisation and beyond.
The survey should take around ten minutes to complete, and to thank you for your time we will invite you to enter a prize draw to win a £50 voucher to spend with Appetite for Angus Neighbourhood Market and Producers.
