Business Support Chats – 12 Days of Christmas offer – Ruadh Consultancy

As we reach the end of one of the most volatile and unpredictable periods most of us have experienced it’s time for reflection and planning for the coming year.  All too often your primary focus has to be on the day-to-day operation and it can be the case the basics are overlooked, which in time can cost you both in terms of time and money.
Consider a back-to-basics approach, review your overall administrative function, what areas could be strengthened? Credit control, invoicing, costing, record keeping?
You don’t have to spend a lot of time or money and you’ll most certainly see the benefits long term.
In the spirit of the 12 days of Christmas, Brian is less scrooge and more Bob Cratchit and is offering a 30 Business Basics Chat for the special rate of £12.
If you would like some help closing off a very challenging year by helping out and getting you in a better place for the following year, please get in touch with Brian at brian@ruadhconsultancy.com or phone 07759 074560.

Inspiralba recently launched the Rural Social Enterprise Hub online, which is currently in its pilot stage. The Hub will provide a resource for Rural Social Enterprises to connect, access learning resources and information as well as providing opportunities for peer networking and collaboration. We are currently building the directory and would love to include your organisation’s details.

You can add to the directory here, and if you have any issues, please feel free to reach out to Jakki Spicer at jspicer@inspiralba.org.uk.

Being in the directory will give your organisation the opportunity to share your work with others in Scotland, across Europe and we hope in time across the globe. You will also be able to submit events and papers, participate in forums and network with other social enterprises. This is a grant-funded project and there is no charge for users at all.

And here’s Inspiralba’s Twitter feed and Facebook page.

Information on COVID related support is available from Senscot’s COVID 19 Resources Page – which is updated regularly.

SCVO has a comprehensive Information Hub including a directory of needed and offered services.

If you are looking for information that is specific to Angus and especially the business side of things, this is the link.

Community Resources Network Scotland (CRNS), Scotland’s national reuse, repair, recycle charity also has some useful information and guidance available here.

For further information on support available, see Senscot’s COVID 19 Resources Page – which is updated regularly and include legal information on Job Retention Scheme as well as template letters. It has been noted that those organisations whose staff are funded through Government finance should not be furloughing staff. It is worth checking with other funders if staff can be reallocated to COVID 19 work using existing funding rather than put them onto furlough. Currently those that are on furlough cannot be used as volunteers in their own organisation.
